- Explain core cybersecurity concepts, including the CIA triad and common network and IoT threats.
- Design and configure secure network architectures at the network edge.
- Implement and manage firewall rules, routing and Network Address Translation (NAT).
- Deploy and configure VPN solutions to enable secure communications.
- Apply security best practices to IoT and embedded devices.
- Install, configure and administer OpenWrt-based systems.
- Monitor and analyze network traffic using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and security-related issues effectively.
- Use Linux command-line tools for system administration and security management.
- Apply ethical cybersecurity practices and communicate security findings clearly.
Prerequisites
- Prior exposure to network devices such as routers and network gateways.
- General IT literacy, including software installation, system configuration and basic command-line usage.
- Fundamental cybersecurity awareness, including knowledge of common threats, authentication mechanisms and secure communication concepts.
- Basic understanding of computer networks and internet connectivity principles.
