Risk Management
This introductory course provides a foundational understanding of cybersecurity risk management in organisational contexts. Students will be introduced to core concepts and terminology, before progressing through the key stages of risk identification, assessment, and treatment.

- Explain what cybersecurity risk management is and why it matters to organisations
- Define key terms and concepts used in cybersecurity risk management
- Describe the basic stages of the risk management lifecycle at a high level
- Identify the purpose of common risk management standards and frameworks, and give examples of widely used ones
- Recognise common types of cybersecurity threats and risks that organisations face
- Distinguish between key concepts such as threat, vulnerability, likelihood, and impact
- Demonstrate awareness of basic tools and frameworks used in cybersecurity risk management
