Risk Management

This introductory course provides a foundational understanding of cybersecurity risk management in organisational contexts. Students will be introduced to core concepts and terminology, before progressing through the key stages of risk identification, assessment, and treatment. The course offers an accessible overview of widely used industry standards and frameworks, giving students a grounding in the landscape of best practice. Building on this theoretical foundation, students are introduced to common tools used for threat modelling and risk assessment, with guided practical tasks to reinforce learning. No prior knowledge of cybersecurity risk management is assumed, making this course suitable for those new to the field or seeking to formalise their existing understanding.
